About us

We run a house, and we run it well

No promises about cures, no clinical language. Just a clean, structured home where recovery has room to take hold.

Our approach

Consistency is the service

A sober living home does one thing: it holds a standard, every day, for everyone. When the standard slips for one resident, it stops meaning anything for the rest. That is why our house rules are written down, reviewed at intake, and applied the same way across the house.

We are not a treatment program and we do not try to be one. Residents keep their own therapists, physicians, outpatient programs, and sponsors. Our job is to make sure that when they come home, home is safe, quiet, sober, and predictable.

The house is intentionally small. The house manager knows every resident by name, notices when something is off, and has the time to sit down and talk about it.

What we ask

Five commitments every resident makes

These are not aspirations. They are the terms of living here.

01

Stay sober

Complete abstinence from alcohol and non-prescribed substances, verified by random testing.

02

Stay accountable

Honor curfew, sign in and out, attend the weekly house meeting, and complete assigned chores.

03

Stay engaged

Attend outside recovery meetings and keep working with your own treatment and support providers.

04

Stay productive

Work, school, or structured volunteering after the first two weeks of settling in.

05

Respect the house

No violence, no threats, no theft, no harassment, and no bringing anything onto the property that endangers another resident.

06

Pay on time

Program fees are due on schedule. We'd rather talk early about a shortfall than discover it late.

Fair housing

Who is welcome here

Quest Sober Living is open to adults in recovery who can live independently and follow house standards. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, familial status, source of income, military or veteran status, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

People in recovery from substance use disorder are protected under federal and California fair housing law. We take that seriously — for our residents and for the neighborhood we're part of.

Placeholder: confirm final fair housing and reasonable-accommodation language with counsel, and decide whether to state certification status (e.g., CCAPP / Sober Living Network) here.
